Rule #53 - Contracts are King

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard people speculating over the specifics of a contract without looking at it first. I’m here to save you some time: Read the contract. Guessing what it says is pointless, because whatever is in writing is what you are held to.

With that in mind, wouldn’t you make every effort to make sure that you understand exactly what you’ve agreed to? That’s why it’s important to hire a Contracts Administrator. Having someone who knows how to navigate the legalese is imperative, especially in government contracting, and will pay dividends down the road.

At the end of the day, contracts are king. Make sure you have the personnel to know what the contracts say.
