Staci L. Redmon Named Woman Vetrepreneur of the Year

Joins distinguished group of veteran woman-owned business owners making an impact

SPRINGFIELD, VA, July 26, 2017 – Staci L. Redmon, President and CEO of Strategy and Management Services, Inc. (SAMS) has been recognized by the National Veteran-Owned Business Association (NaVOBA) as the 2017 Woman Vetrepreneur of the Year. The prestigious award is presented annually to one of the 380,000 woman veteran-owned business owners in the U.S.

To be considered for the award, nominees must clearly demonstrate those attributes that are pivotal in leading a flourishing organization, creating sustained business success and growth, and who have a strong commitment to cultivating veteran entrepreneurship. As this year’s award recipient, Redmon’s entrepreneurial journey will be featured in the June 2017 issue of Vetrepreneur®, the official magazine of NaVOBA.

“I’m simply amazed by this honor,” said Ms. Redmon. “When you receive an incredible recognition like this, it’s affirmation that you’re doing the right thing, and that in turn inspires you to continue working to make a difference in the communities we serve and to empower others to succeed.  It’s a lifelong mission that I’ve dedicated myself to.”

As a service disabled Army Veteran, Redmon set out to create a business that measures its success on how it creates a lasting, positive impact on its clients, employees, and the local community. Today, more than 75 percent of the company’s staff are either veterans or family members of veterans, with employee development one of the hallmarks of SAMS.  Ms. Redmon, who serves on a number of boards, was recently appointed by the National Veteran Small Business Coalition (NVSBC) to its Board of Directors, and routinely volunteers her time to organizations that support veteran causes.
