The vision for Strategy and Management Services, Inc. came to Staci L. Redmon when she was getting frustrated as she sat in a meeting and watched critical warfighter systems that the troops needed not get funded. “I believed that as taxpayers, we all share fiscal responsibility in doing what is right for our warfighters and for our country,” Redmon says.
During her years as president and CEO of Strategy and Management Services, Redmon has had to make many tough decisions, including a strategic choice to reduce overhead costs at the company. “The thought was that overhead costs do not add value to customers and could be curtailed with smart decisions and planning,” she says. This kind of smart cost management, along with a focus on hard work and exceptional delivery, allowed the company to keep growing its revenue despite the sequestration and government shutdown.
Since Strategy and Management Services’ inception, Redmon has made it a priority to ensure employees are invested in the company. “Transparency and employee buy-in are essential components to the establishment and implementation of an impactful business vision and growth plan,” Staci Redmon notes, who plans to continue to position SAMS for growth as a dominant player in both the public and private markets in the Greater Washington region.
Congratulations to Staci L. Redmon for the selfless work she does within the community!
